In today's life almost all the work depends on computer but the term related to computer is not easily understandable to all except technical person. Here in this blog i describe one of computer related term Flash Drive.
It makes the work easier, one can easily carry their important data or files, easy to transfer and store videos, songs, pictures, software’s and so on. As it is rewriteable you can use it again and again. It is compatible with all operating system and really a gift to the mankind.
A USB flash drive is a data storage device that includes flash memory with an integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. USB flash drives are typically removable and rewritable, and physically much smaller than a floppy disk.USB flash drives are often used for the same purposes for which floppy computer disks or CD-ROMs were utilized, i.e., for storage, back-up and move of computer files. They are smaller, much quicker, have thousands of times more capability, and are more durable and dependable because they have no moving parts.
Formatting is needed when you completely want to remove all the data from your flash drive or to remove corrupt files from it. You can also format a flash drive to change the file storage system from FAT (File Allocation Table) to NTFS (New Technology File System) or vice versa in order to make the drive compatible with other devices such as digital cameras and music players.
